Roland “Ro” Wauer is retired from the National Park Service where he worked in several of America’s national parks. His favorite parks include Big Bend in Texas, Death Valley in California, and Zion in Utah. He has traveled extensively in Mexico and throughout the U.S. and Canada. He is the author of 25 books and more than 180 articles on nature, especially about birds and butterflies. He continues writing about our natural resources, presenting talks, and conducting research on birds and butterflies.
