Randy Babb is a biologist and an Arizona native. He is currently employed by Arizona Game and Fish Department.
He has worked on numerous studies and projects in Arizona, New Mexico, southeastern U.S., Mexico, Central America, Vietnam, and southern Africa on small mammals, fish, reptiles and amphibians.
Jim P. Brock is a longtime lepidopterist, butterfly photographer, researcher, tour leader and author based in Tucson, Arizona.
Jim is the co-author of Butterflies of Southeastern Arizona, Butterflies of North America and Caterpillars in the Field and Garden and sole author of Butterflies of the Southwest.
Jim has been studying butterflies for over 40 years. His trips have taken him to Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico, the West Indies, Canada and all 50 states. Three different butterfly species have been named in his honor.
Valerie Bugh is a naturalist specializing in the arthropods of the Austin area, with interests in taxonomy and photography.
She runs the Fauna Project at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, leads insect discovery walks, provides insect/spider identifications, and gives talks to local organizations. Website: http://www.austinbug.com
